In some ways, it feels very odd to write this; I say that because of how I see myself. Basically, this is not a gift I see myself called to and I will explain more on this later. So because of that thinking, this post will be more of an observation with comments than anything else.
In my 40-plus years of being a Christian, I have always had a touch of this in my life. Like the waves on a beach, there have been slow calm periods so nice you could almost pretend nothing was happening. But the seas have roared at other times. I even had a point, very early on in my life, that scared me to the core. It was personal, and in that vision, I saw the hand of God. So… at that moment, let's just say… I did not handle that very well.
My early Christian years were in a Baptist church that was heavily influenced by the Vineyard. As a result, there was plenty of teaching on healing and almost nothing on the prophetic. No resources, no one to ask questions of I just found myself in various moments with no clue what to do.
Later, reading whatever I could, I found that some groups had already developed some general “rules” as to what you can and can not do. When I read them I swallowed hard and said nothing, because by then I had broken almost every rule. The first one was, “Don’t prophesy marriages!” Only did that once, and those people have been married for over 30 years now.
The second one was, “Don’t prophesy births!” Broke that one several times, and each time, I was correct. And the last time I walked up to a woman to say, “your pregnant.” She flipped a cork and went off on me. The next week she came back, embarrassed, and said she took a test to discover she was pregnant. In fact, at the moment I told her she was only pregnant by days, not weeks.
The third one was, “Don’t call out sin!” Yep, broke that as well. Not going to give the details though.
Hullabaloo
The waves of this ocean for me have had a long period of calm, and it was during these other seasons I learned to work in other giftings. Not the big flashy ones, but things like wisdom, compassion, and administration and it is out of all those and more I would still like to see wisdom grow the most.
Since those days I have watched numerous things take place. I have watched good prophetic websites like Rivermail get crushed because of their “harsh messages” to only see other, lukewarm places like the Elijah List promoted. I have watched fakery grow with ministers like Shawn Boltz who would data mine people's backgrounds for words of knowledge so that they could impress the crowds.
We seem to gravitate towards flashy ministries while ignoring Jesus's commands towards other things like true spiritual fruit and the needs of the poor.
I remember being in one MFM meeting ( Morningstar Fellowship of Ministries) where Shawn was speaking about things his ministry in California was doing. I, like several other ministers, was getting a bit “pissed off” at Shawn. But we did nothing, however, because senior-level leadership (Rick Joyner) was accepting of his testimony.
He was speaking about prostitution and the white slave trade on the coast. He was speaking about his ministry learning the secret locations where young women were gathered like slaves and then shipped off in cargo containers to Asia. His ministry was given the “privilege” to minister to them before they were shipped off. A few people in the meeting protested, and his response back was that if they called the police, then all future opportunities for ministry would be taken from them.
How well do you think his actions compare to James 2:15-16? “ Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?” These girls may or may not have been prostitutes, but it was not your words at that moment they wanted; they needed your actions. Call the police. Every time these slavers get busted, more girls get saved. My brain has often wondered how twisted his mind was that he could have justified these actions. Let alone Rick for endorsing Shawn?
Why are all these modern Charismatic Prophetic ministers' problems connected to sex?
I have spent some time researching what is known as Celtic Christianity. A well-known person in that faith by the name of Adian, who was the overseer of Lindisfarne, deliberately lived in poverty so that he could save up money to rescue slaves. As far as integrity and righteousness, Shawn Boltz, I think you would do well to follow Adian’s example.
Shenanigans
Timothy Dixon & Robin Bullock. Now, we all understand that reincarnation is an occult thing, right? That man was appointed once to die and then we either end up in Hell or in Heaven with Jesus right? Well, apparently there are a few “ministers” out there who either never got the message or never read the Bible.
Back in January 2023, Timothy Dixon declared on stage that Robin Bullock was actually John the Baptist, John was… alive again. So does this mean someone found John's head and reattached it after Herod had it cut off? I mean how does this thing work?
Apparently, Bullock had no problems with Dixon’s declaration on stage. He did not rebuke him or walk away.
Then there is the case of Mark Driscoll publically rebuking a church and its pastor for having a male stripper on stage doing a pole dance at a Men’s conference. And this is NOT THE ONLY church that has done this kind of nonsense. There are several videos on YouTube of “professional women” also performing before children and congregations.
People were shocked when it was discovered that Mike Bickle invented prophetic words to validate his claims. But there is more, let's take this scripture. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” Matthew 5:8. According to this scripture, purity of heart is a requirement in order to see God. This means anyone who has had experience in heaven and seen God must be pure in heart, right? Because if you agree with this statement then there is a problem.
Many ministers claim in their books to have seen Jesus face to face in heaven, yet some of the same ones are getting exposed left and right. If you believe Jesus's words, then these ministers are lying to you for the purpose of book sales $ and gaining human popularity.
So, for those of you who have been following closely the issues of Morningstar, do you still believe Rick’s “Final Quest Series,” is real, or is Rick just a really good storyteller?
The list of spiritual stupidity seems unending in our modern days. And that, as I have mentioned in my book “My Father’s House,” is because the system is broken. And a broken system only produces broken people and dysfunctional ministers who keep the system going for personal reasons.
I am not the only one who sees this craziness, read this screenshot from the former Vice President of Morningstar Ministries, Steve Thompson.
{FYI, by placing Steve’s quote here, I am not endorsing his past actions. I am only exposing his current thinking.}
Steve’s comment gives a bit of Hope, considering he is speaking from experience of being employed at Morningstar. My hope is that people are getting it, they are starting to understand that you can not rebuild, fix, or just add more bandaids to a bad system. It all needs to come down, deconstructed to the core.
We need to clean off the original foundation, Jesus, and then have the master builder explain how to build it.
“This thing is going to crash and burn, the prophetic ministry as it presently is, it’s meant to. But the real thing is meant to arise.” ~Terry Bennett
At this point, I would like to leave you with a serious video from Terry Bennett. Please do not skip this video, yes I know it’s long, but it is good. Please watch.
“Israel only killed the true prophets, not the false ones.” ~ Terry Bennett
The ACPE & Emma
Currently, there is another Hullabaloo unfolding between the American Prophets and the Scottish. The ACPE had recently denounced the prophetic words of Emma Stark for a word she had about Donald Trump the day before the election. This is the first time this group has EVER denounced a word as false, and it’s over a political issue and viewpoint. Now, please keep in mind I am not defending either person’s position or this wild word. But I will say that once I saw the names of the people who signed the denouncement, it seemed very dubious the timing of such a thing. Let’s use bullet points for this.
Right now, the American prophetic community is under fire on social media. This is because the common Christian is now waking up and doing research. This fire has been fueled by recent events at Morningstar as well as IHOP and other locations
This is causing pressure on various people in the prophetic community to step up and prove their validity to keep the people connected to them.
This current action by the ACPE quickly reminded me of Rick’s actions concerning Paul Cain. When you look at the secret history of Bickel and Joyner, they always seem to promote and hire the wolves. Why, then, did they go after Paul, was it really about what we were told? And why did Rick feel he needed to re-attack Paul after he died? “It is a Brave man who kicks a dead lion and claims victory.”
There are other voices in America who have expressed similar concerns about these next four years. Terry Bennett, Mark Taylor, Melissa Leggett, and more, but why has the ACPE not addressed any of them? Was it the size of Emma’s audience or the fact that she lives outside of the U.S. possibly making them free of lawsuits?
Could it be that her prophetic word about the Angel of America that has echoes of Terry Bennetts's past words, including the one I just posted on this page, is the real reason the ACPE is denouncing her? I mean, IF what Terry and Emma are saying is even partly true. This means they are prophesying the end of these prophets’ paychecks. Here is the video. (please remember I am not endorsing her ministry, only submitting this video)
