A little Barn Wisdom
Legalism, Lawlessness, and the Status Quo. (FYI, a small Morningstar update)
Although I was born in the southwest, I was raised in the Pacific Northwest in a land a dairy farmers, hay fields, loggers, and dockworkers. Over time, I built a connection with a couple of dairy farmer families. There was a simple wisdom that was resident in all things. One was that as long as the roof and the foundation are good, a barn can stand forever. In this thinking I have generally learned to applie it to many things, like ministries, marriage, and such.
The reality of it is solid, as long as your covering and foundation in Jesus is strong, you can stand any storm. There is another issue however, one that I have noticed is that things can be allowed into the barn that make a mess and eventually compromise either the roof or the floor.
For some reason, these are issues everyone would rather ignore.
Legalism
Legalism controls, while Lawlessness opens the door wide open without restraint. It’s an odd fact, in Ministries that seem to run way too close to Lawlessness, and secretly encourage it. These ministries champion the idea of a “Religious Spirit,” which is a non-biblical term, as a form of defense against thier actions.
These ministries apply the “Religious Spirit” term to any person who addresses their lawless actions as public defence. By insinuating a person has this spirit, you are now labeling them as unclean.
This is an act of evil to bring condemnation on the king’s kids. I have run into several people who have had this label put on them by leadership. It always turns into an act of spiritual mental bondage that must be removed. For most, it's as simple as them realizing the truth of the lie to get free.
As much as the ministries stress how bad the Religious spirit/Legalism is. Scripture talks far less about it than it does its counterpart - Lawlessness.
Lawlessness
In today's world of unending exposures, the Lord's body is continually being forced to see that spiritual activity does not equate to Holiness. Over and over again, we see prophetic people like Joyner, Bickel, Deere, Lamb, Hartley, Feucht, Bolz, Morris, and many, many others. It shocks many to see so many “Generals of the Faith” (another non-biblical term) falling to some sort of sin.
But the reality is, Jesus totally predicts much of this. “At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24: 10-14
Now I am not saying we are currently in THIS endtime scripture, what I am saying is look at the attitudes and actions that are connected. When false prophets arise, people will be leaving the faith, growing cold. This is because everyone who practices sin practices or grows lawlessness. Whoever receives them as a leader or partakes of their ministry. They are also spiritually feeding from the same evil well, regardless of whether they know it or not. 1 John 3:4 They then run the risk of having such things imparted into thier lives as well.
This is because the lawless, like friends. They gather them, build networks, as the gathering grows, so do the unclean spirits. This is how iniquity grows in a region: families crumble, spiritual poverty grows, compromise becomes normal, and then people start altering scripture to fit the sin.
Under Legalism, service is cold, and the barn is empty.
Under Lawlessness, the fences are removed, and the barn is destroyed from within.
Many people have prophetically declared things like a great end-time harvest. Is that going to be a real thing? I don’t know, all I know is a harvest is wasted without a barn.
Status Quo
Although typically never verbalized as a plan of action. Status Quo, also known as Complacency, becomes a stronghold, a mindset that is deeply guarded. Either by lawlessness or Legalism. While Scripture encourages “Go into all the world.” Status Quo will offer a host of reasons not to move forward. In effect, the great warriors of this generation, the lions, are trained to “do little” and taught to be content with doing less. Because of this, the zeal for the Lord's house is reduced to waiting for budgets.
I know this wording may sound odd, but I have literally seen in small churches when the young men and young families who are full of fire are reduced to such things. Yes, sometimes there is wisdom in waiting, but where is the wisdom of always waiting and never going?
Statis Quo puts the lions to sleep, and the Lord knows it. Jesus in the New Testament constantly changed things around with his Apostles, I think, to break up complacency.
We are going here, and now there.
Oh, by the way, I am going to stay here, and you're going on ahead of me.
Yep, I’m sending you to a town that won’t like you.
Yep, I’m breaking you up into groups.
Yep, I just rebuked you. Are you going to stay with me or walk away like the rest?
To me, Status Quo is the very opposite of true Kingdom activity and the heart of being completely committed to him. Here is a question that may be uncomfortable for some people. “Who or what are you willing to walk away from even if it does not make sense when the Lord opens a door or says GO?”
To some, with their concepts of family and friends, this makes no sense to do something so extreme, but consider these two scriptures.
“Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.” Matthew 10:37
“He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” Matthew 12:48-50. It would seem Jesus has a different definition of family than most of us, who do you think is right?
Back to Lawlessness (Morningstar update)
In an older post that very few people saw, I released a dream concerning MorningStar ministries called, “The Emperor’s New Clothes.”
The Emperor's New Clothes
Back in 2021 while on a road trip, I had a dream in Livingston Montana. This dream echoed the old children’s story by Hans Christian Anderson, "The Emperor's New Clothes”
In this dream, Rick was handing over the power of the ministry to his son, who was walking around the ministry naked, and the Elders refused to do anything. The dream is symbolic, and I fully believe Rick has tried to hand over the ministry to many “sons”: Reed, Bentley, and more. And just like in the dream, they all fell into a manure pit and got exposed.
This dream displays the mindset of lawlessness and contempt for the ways and laws of God. These actions are bringing Rot to the foundation, and it’s crumbling fast. Here is some current information that just came my way.
At the start of October, the number of people viewing the Morningstar website was sitting at around 38 thousand. By the end of the month, it experienced a dramatic drop to 5,832 people. That is an 84.66 % drop in views. Compared to the numbers I was given last year, this drop is very dramatic. This is also reflected in the fact that they are currently having a 56.09% bounce rate on the website. What this means is that over half the people who see the front page “bounce,” walk away, and do not return. The Rot is growing and people can smell it.
Originally, I was told a few months ago that the ministry is done having conferences; well, it appears that Rick lied again. There are three new conferences planned. Since Rick laid off a large number of staff, this means all the systems will be strained, and employees will get overworked. I expect these “events” will be a shadow of what once was, manned by volunteer senior citizens who are residents in the building, as well as a handful of students.
I will give you more of an update on those conferences if more information comes my way.
Last Note, a Special thank you to all my paid subscribers. Know that you are appreciated for sticking this out. As well as thank you to the people who send information, as Gandalf says, “keep it secret, keep it safe,” becasue the King is coming.

One of your best articles that all who want to fulfill their callings should read! Our callings, if real, are not "options" for other people. They are from the Lord to us, and we need to search out our boundaries in Him and find and develop the manifestations of our gifts from Him to the Body BASED on His Word! Articles like this help! We are either following man or God's Spirit with His Word. I hope a lot get to find this and read it! He will not fail!
