The Education of This Age

Maybe It's Time for Something to Change.

About three decades ago, I had a vision. It was nighttime in Jerusalem, and I was looking down from above at the newly built temple. I am not sure how high off the ground I was; perhaps it does not matter.

All I know is that from my vantage point, I could see a large, angry beast standing in front of the temple, roaring into the night sky with his arms and claws held upward. His anger was like he was shouting at God… in defiance.

Many colored searchlights were moving around the new temple like it was a grand opening of a car dealership. But the lights never reflected off the beast or even highlighted the beast. This told me the beast was present in spirit and not in physical form.

What I do know is that when the temple is built, the spirit of the beast will be present at the opening ceremony while everyone is celebrating. This celebration will be the attitude and mindset of the world at that time, and the Beast will be showing it off to God as evidence of his accomplishment.

How can that be? What I mean is that something that has been so biblically obvious for thousands of years has been suddenly forgotten. The world and believers seem to have acquired a case of worldwide amnesia toward biblical truth, and because of this, the world dances in the streets. One of the things that many of us learned from the 2019 Covid mess is that with the right measure of fear and social programming, you can push the entire world anywhere you want to take it.

Right now, social programming is pushing whole groups to do incredibly insane things. And people are happily lining up for the next thing. The world has gone nuts, and unfortunately, this is becoming THE NEW NORMAL.

What is next?

I remember, shortly after, the internet started becoming more popular in the early 1990s. Someone posted a prophetic word on a now-defunct prophetic platform called “Rivermail.” A very dark word that seemed so out of touch with anything that could happen in the future.

But the thing is, as we march along into the future, the message in this old prophetic word seems to be more and more of a real possibility. In this vision, the people had become deceived into believing that the world was in great danger and the human race was destroying it. So, neighborhoods set up large camps for people to voluntarily kill themselves to save the world. Long lines of depressed people of all ages walked quietly in. They were doing their “duty” to save the planet. All the while, the demonic goddess, Gaia, stood above the camps with a grin.

This idea was unthinkable 25 years ago, but now it's a real possibility.

The infiltration of self-serving preachers has left all of us unequipped and asleep. In effect, so few of us realize that we have been preaching another gospel for years.

Right now, several names in the body have stood up, trying to do the right thing in the area of justice and righteousness. But like Martin Luther, who simply re-purposed various aspects of Catholicism because that was the only thing he knew. Many of these modern names are just repolishing the same old broken system.

I know that I have just said a lot in a small space. But in reality, if you wish to know more, then I would say look at some of my other posts over the last few months. Until then, consider this. “The student is not above the teacher…” Matthew 10: 24-26 This can mean many things, depending on how you look at it. But one of the key parts in my mind is that a student's education stops at the level of what the teacher has to give. Now, no teacher is perfect and delivers perfectly everything to the student. We are just humans, and humans make mistakes.

If you look at this logically, then you will understand that over a given period of time, things will slip, and each progressive generation will get lower and lower quality of education. This means to rise above and leave the system behind requires something else… a bold step.

Human Education can only take you so Far.

“And as for you, the anointing which you received from Him remains in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you remain in Him.” 1 John 2:27 People often see the leaders above us as spiritual people who have “arrived” and are above the problems of everyone else. But the reality is leaders are under pressure like everyone else. So the temptation to “fudge” a little here or three, or to cut a corner is high.

We have now seen many popular preachers like Shawn Bolt use social media data mining to prophesy to the crowds. He is not the only one, in fact, I suspect this is the go-to practice of most Charismatic preachers nowadays. These leaders learned this behavior from older pastors.

Case in point, I know of one former, well-known prophetic minister who was a vice president. This man had a strong reputation in the prophetic and even wrote a book on how everyone can prophesy. What he left out of his book was the fact that he employed a secretary to wander the crowds, listening into conversations so that he had something to prophesy before the crowds. So not only do good things get passed down from leader to leader, but so do evil things.

This is why human education can only take you so far. The content has become polluted and is now untrustworthy. We have relied on human education for so long that we forgot the purpose of our leader is to “…present every person complete in Christ.” Colossians 1:28 One of the aspects of being complete in Christ is found in 1 John 2:27. “As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.”

This means the purpose of the teacher is to be a custodian to the child of the King. One day, these children will grow up and take their God-ordained place, and the teacher must get them ready for them to carry out their duties. This means they must be trained to receive a higher education from the Holy Spirit than what the human teacher can give them.

They must be able to identify the evil of this age and understand what to do next. They must be able to put kingdom values higher than friendships, employment, and many other things.

Kingdom Questions

#1 If Jesus is our model to follow, How much of Jesus do you see in modern ministry?

#2 Do you believe that we reap what we sow? If so, then evaluate your current support of various ministries.

#3 All things flow downward, both good and bad, in headship. If the headship above you is operating in gross hidden sin, what is flowing down to you?

#4 If the goal is to set people free and make them mature in Jesus. Then ask this question: are you still supporting a ministry that is keeping people enslaved to a system? What do you think the Lord would say to you?
