The Wyoming Winter Snow
As the ears and nose quickly chill, a bite of cold awakens the morning face.
The gray and muted have returned, but they are not few, with little bits of drifting white, along the Wyoming road.
Now the settling cold of another winter approaches, as the land turns the chapter of yet another season.
Flake by flake, like a school kid eraser, the colors of the land have been kidnapped away.
Gee, another day of snowy white under the deep blue sky, where is the contrast of colors? Where is the contrast of temperatures?
Scrape the ice, bust it free so that you can see. stomp the snow from the shoes, to keep it all clean.
And then a bit of heat returns like an old friend for a day, maybe three, and the brown prairie colors rush back for all to see.
