Does this feel like something Jesus would want?

Not long ago, I watched a short video interview of Laurence Fishburne, the guy who played Morpheus in The Matrix. They were discussing the religious significance of the movie. At one point, he was asked about the movie getting “pitched” to the money people who would finance it. Those people did not get the concept and were having a hard time approving the creation of the movie.

They were eventually told, “Don’t worry, no one under 30 years old is going to get this movie anyway.” To be fair, I know of people under 30 who did get the movie when it came out, but not many. Perhaps that’s just the way of life, as you grow older and experience things, your perspective changes, as does your understanding.

The Christian Matrix / Circus

As we move through the last few years, so many of us have now experienced shocking things in the Christian world, especially in the Charismatic realm. Because of this, more and more of us are waking up and are willing to listen to the possibility that we are inside a religious matrix. Welcome to the land of carefully cultured programming, where we have been programmed to accept the crazy and abandon spiritual truth.

So much has happened with exposures, court cases, and things that to go into detail on almost any subject, and still keep this article within Substack's allowable size, well… that would be a major undertaking.

From my observation, I would say the Lord is on the move, shaking, molding, promoting some, and firing his negligent staff on earth. Some are like the workers in the parable of the Vineyard, while others are like the people in the parable of the talents, refusing to use what was given.

I have heard it said that you never know what kind of person you're fighting alongside with …until the real pressure falls on them. Some suck it up and fight, others run, some freak out and become useless. I think that in the last 24 months, and especially the last six, many of us in the Charismatic have seen examples of this.

Some have turned into fighters, going after the priestly predators who harm the flock. Others protect them out of some misguided understanding that they are protecting the kingdom, or worse yet. They think that by protecting “god’s so-called anointed,” the Lord will honor them for being a good little sheep. And finally, others have just wandered off into the darkness to hide from the gunfire.

I can have some respect for those who are hiding from the gunfire out of a desire to stay alive. But I have recently lost ALL respect for one major leader who tucked his tail between his legs, and by his actions is now complicit in hiding the wolves. Leaders are judged at a different level than anyone else. So with a Ph.D. in Theology, this man holds, all I can say is that he should know better. I would dare to also say the degree he holds is now “non grata” by his actions.

Context for the Future - Now

In the 1980s, I was at a Vineyard conference in Canada when Margaret Moberly was speaking. One of her students who came with her from Texas personally told me a prophetic word that was meant for the future, and I would live to see it come to pass.

“There was a fence being built between the righteous and the unrighteous. Every day, another brick was being added, so the fence grew higher. Pastors and people were jumping back and forth, like a game without care for the things of the Lord. But as the fence grew, choices had to be made. Because at the base, the fence was wide. But as it grew, the top became narrow, and it became harder and harder to sit on the top of the fence.”

“In the end, everyone will need to decide, for the Lord will no longer allow unrighteousness to contaminate the righteous. On that day, a great separation will take place. For everyone must choose what side they will be on.” - I think we are seeing that day.

Things are getting crazy out there; more and more evil is getting exposed in the camp of the Lord. Current examples would be Robin Bullock being praised on stage as being John the Baptist back from the dead.

The Holy Spirit is stepping back from various places that now hide charismatic witchcraft under a banner of “Christian spirituality.” These leaders do not want to expose and shine light on the filth that brings them money. Case in point, if you have followed any of the Daystar mess, then I assume you have heard the name Tony Evans and his famous rebuke of Jonathan Lamb, telling him that his mother is the voice of god to him. As well as the fact that he is in error for following his own personal convictions that the Holy Spirit has given him.

Now, Jimmy Evans is creating a whole new theological dogma, saying Jesus was wrong and in error for not following his mother. He is altering the facts to fit his view. Click on the video below.

Some of the stuff is just truly bizarre, so how did we get here?

Asbury Revival

On February 8th, 2023, a young man in Wilmore, Kentucky, decided to stand up on stage and confess his sins. One thing led to another, and over a 16-day period of time, somewhere between 50 to 70 thousand people visited what became known as the Asbury Revival.

Several things took place that were generally not talked about. One is this revival itself, countering the contemporary revivalist thinking that God never revisits older moves, but always keeps moving forward in new expressions. The second thing was, like other revivals, many of the big names attempted to gain access to the meeting to get their time on stage.

Because of the sin in the camp of Charismatic, this revival among the Methodists can be seen as a rebuke to the Charismatic. God is sovereign, and he can step into ANY past move that he desires. He is the King, and he does not require our permission.

Concerning the issue of the big names like “Pastor” Che Ahn, there were several who tried, and the leadership of Asbury would not allow it. The most famous story I know was of Todd Bentley, who advertised on social media that he had been invited to speak and was going to be in attendance shortly. In reality, Todd lied, and when asked, the leadership in Asbury had no idea who Todd Bentley was.

Not wanting to be shut out from a revival, exactly one month later, Mike Bickel called for a fast for Israel and revival.

For months, many ministers attempted to “bring the glory” by mandating round-the-clock prayer meetings, but it never manifested in the way Asbury did. So they needed something bigger.

So, as the summer rolled around, the following leaders had a meeting with the Pope. Stacey Campbell, Rodrigues Pereira, Nicky Gumble, Bill Johnson, Kris Vallatton, Mike Bickle, Pedro Adao, Tony Kim, Lou Engel, Heidi Baker, and Patricia King. From this was “birthed” the World Catholic Youth Day. There were videos done (that have since been pulled) by Johnson and Bickel declaring that revival was going to break out in Lisbon, Portugal, and that everyone should come to this world-changing event.

The reality was they did not get to be on the same billing as the Pope, so it seems they ended up doing an “ecumenical revival event” on the same day in another location in Lisbon.

As a person who has done quite a bit of study into our past persecutions at the hands of the papacy. I can honestly say that evangelicals partnering with the Pope is NOT in alienment, in fact, I would say it is breaking the fifth commandment in Exodus 20:12 & Deut 5:16.

“Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.” Ex 20:12, and this is because so many of our forefathers and mothers considered the Catholic faith to be a very dangerous cult.

So let me round this up.

Due to the hidden sin in the Charismatic camp, the Lord honored the faithfulness of the Methodists and blessed the youth with revival. It seems to me that the Lord, by his actions, denied the pretenders access to the youth. So these pretenders who decided to have their own revival with the youth, by aligning with darkness. They are now losing their lampstand with the youth around the world. Think about it, what age group is pushing back against them publicly?

God saw it, he took note, and now he is cleaning house. Many of the names that attended have fallen, some are falling, and I suspect at least one of them has woken up. But regardless, God is on the move. In the Lord’s own way and in his time, revival is still taking place in various places. Just as the pretenders in the Kingdom are being exposed before the people. In effect, this wall is coming up, and within the next year or two, I suspect the top of the wall He is building will get razor thin. And who can sit on that?

But like I said, God is still bringing revival. There are small stories of small “outflows” happening in many places. They are not getting covered in the news; you need to search to find them, but they are happening. Currently, there are reports of revival in the UK that bear striking similarity to Asbury.
