A Quick, Year End Update
It’s snowing outside, and the power is out.
Right now it’s snowing outside, and the power is out. So I am getting caught up on a few things.
This is going to be a short, quick update. If you have trudged along with my Substact since it started, you have seen various phases go by. Without rehearsal or reminder of the past, many of you know why certain issues were explored. My current phase has been to go deeper (but hopefully shorter) into spiritual issues while dipping our toes into Christian storytelling (The Legacy Continuum), a little poetry, and a greater use of graphic arts, combined with everything to deepen the message.
The podcast has turned into a very large job, and for me, it seems to work best to create and finish them as blocks of 2 or 4 episodes at a time. Since I am a one-man band on this project, it takes serious time to do this. I am committed to finishing the first book, so it looks like I will need to change the way I do this.
On the 23rd. There will be a short teaser episode that will be set far in the future. It’s fun, and for everyone. Then, on December 31st, the fourth episode will come, and then there will be a pause (for sanity), and when I get the next block finished, I will release what I have. This may not seem wise to some, but it’s what’s going to happen because I don’t want to cut corners and do it right.
Old Issues
The regular posts will continue; hopefully, you will see a bit more creativity and deeper thinking. I would not expect much more on the Morningstar issue at this time. I’ve heard a few things, but nothing to report… so we wait for what we all know is coming. And I welcome the day all this malarkey becomes history.
I will say that all this has caused some very deep conversations about what really is Christianity, Faith in Jesus, and such. So much so, I feel like so much of the past few years has been the shadow, and now the reality is coming.
Substack posts
My Substack has changed in an odd but good way. At one point, the subscription numbers started to swell, then paused, and now they have shrunk. Part of this is because when the numbers swelled, I was reporting more on my former employer. They paused when it slowed down, and now the people who are still subscribed are generally reading more. In some cases, I get emails as they talk about what they learned in others, and I see on the back side of Substack that they are going back several times to reread posts.
This, I believe, is a good thing; all the people who wanted just the news moved on. The rest, like you, seem to be more engaged. I was never looking for numbers, but engagement, community.
I could easily grow this stack by doing what so many YouTube channels are doing. Talking about all the fallen ministers, arrests, and such. I did start to dip my toes into that over a year ago, but I felt the Holy Spirit say, “Stay in your lane.” Meaning, only talk about the things you know. I never went to those other ministries, only Morningstar and the Vineyard.
I have been tempted to write about political stuff several times, but I have watched the political spirit consume and destroy ministries, so I stay away from that.
I have become convinced, all these things we see playing out in the world right now are all distractions. Distractions to keep us engaged in “other things.” Jesus is doing something else right now, and I don’t want to give some religious knee-jerk answer to what it might be. I want to speak about evidence.
This year has been long, and like many that I have spoken with, we all feel that change is around the corner. Yes, I know many prophetic ministries for decades have been using this slogan to increase viewership, money, and such things. But what I feel is coming will NOT benefit these ministries. In fact, when the change comes, I would not be surprised if they don’t preach and scream against it.
So, because things will be changing, I would like to hear from you about this Substack. What do you like, what do you not like? Do you like the podcast, or do you have suggestions for what should happen with it?
One of the things I wanted to do with the podcast was change up the ending song with different artists. Well, 99% do not return my email requests, so if you know personally of anyone, have them get in contact with me.
The Regular Posts,
I would love to hear about more of what YOU’RE going through. Maybe seeing something develop that can help you gain victory in your situation. My thinking is based upon an old prophetic forum from long ago called the Prophetic Underground, where people often helped each other with issues. I saw the value, and someday I would like to see it again.

What I like about you, and your writing is you're no-nonsense and that appeals to me. As for what I'd like to see...I leave it up to you and how God guides you.
I don't want to read about failed ministries because giving the enemy too much attention distracts from Jesus. But I also have a very busy life, and I need to be laser focused. I feel the shift, we all do, I'm focusing on what God guides me to do. I don't post for likes..heck I don't get much, but my open rates are pretty high, according to my husband the marketing brains in the family. I even stopped Substack articles to finish my book editing, at God's request, and still goofed that up... but that's because I don't have the right attitude toward my book🤷♀️
So, my friend, I believe you need to follow God's guidance and do what only you can do in whatever way it works for your life. Hope I made sense.😁
Speaking what God has been speaking into your heart is most genuine and authentic. False profits (not misspelled lol) have always been with us, and satan the deceiver does his best work inside the church. I've learned that our focus and reason for living is Jesus and keeping our eye on Him in the midst of whatever storm we face. This is indeed, fellowship divine!
