I have been sitting on this information for a while, hoping to discover more to answer the questions that bubble up. But it seems the time is now. I will attempt to add bits of clarity in some places, but unfortunately, I have more questions than answers.
This is where you come in, what can you find?
One bit of good news is that since I published the first Icabod post, “The Good, The Bad, and the Unqualified, " subscribership has increased, both inside and outside Morningstar. We have just as many former Mstar people as we do people on the inside. Does this make you crazy, Rick?
So, with this information, may some of you, the armchair investigators, discover something. If you do, then everyone will benefit. This first image is the result of many hours of research from myself and a prophetic friend, and… if I must confess, Jack Deere’s son gave me a clue online. But I doubt he knew why I needed the information. Please know you can click on the image to enlarge or download.
Shunem Foundation
This image shows the company's migration and transformation as well as the start of Rountree CJT corporation. The crazy part is that the Shunem Foundation was started in California and remained in the hands of Samuel Shao for a couple of years before Rick and Dave assumed command. Reading the original 990 form Shao submitted, this corporation was obviously built for Rick and Dave.
If you are unfamiliar with it, the EIN is like a birth certificate. It is a trackable number attached to a corporation, and without it, you can not pay your employees or open bank accounts. According to my accountant, no company has more than one.
In 2010, Rick used Shunem to assume control over what he already has. His former registry in MS is listed as still standing in good order, and according to documents from MS, the NC & SC facilities are listed as part of the “franchise.” However, it seems the only thing done with the “parent” company is used as a placeholder to register the company logos.
Rick then goes on to create other business entities, some live others die.
In this, I also included information concerning Anna Rountree and her late husband, Albert. They created many CJT franchises in various states, more on them in a moment.
Please take a close look at this page. The same EIN number is being used for both the Shunem Foundation and Morningstar Fellowship. When I search for the federal 990 form for Morningstar in South Carolina, IT DOES NOT EXIST. So this means when you donate to Morningstar, you are donating to the Shunam Foundation. A foundation that only has TWO BOARD MEMBERS. This is the record for 2023, I think the vice president, Dave Yarns, got paid really well after Rick fired him, don’t you think so? Also, it is claimed on the forms he is still putting in 40-hour weeks… is this evidence of falsifying federal records?
Something strange is going on. I have several years’ worth of records, and these two men have had really nice paychecks. All the while, major sections of the forms seem blank, leaving me to wonder how the money is coming in. There seem to be no payroll numbers. No income was recorded from book sales, hotel rooms, or any other income sources like the kitchen. Someone really needs to ask Christine Newton in accounting some serious questions. Especially since there are NO FEDERAL 990 forms on file for Heritage International Ministries. Is this all a game of mirrors and smoke? When the “Morningstar board assembles,” what are they board of?? Is it a secret board for the Shunem Foundation or the non-existent Morningstar Ministries?
Now let's move on to Anna
If I read this correctly Anna Rountree who lives up on Apple Hill is the “real” owner of the Moravian Falls Church. But her ownership is under the Shunem Foundation. And a lot of money flows through her account. My friend and I have looked over this woman. Her theology is like a freight train off the tracks. According to her, she holds regular classes in heaven to teach the angels. BAzzarr!!!
No, I have no idea how they are getting away with using more than one EIN number for the Moravian “church.” But then again, like I said, I have more questions than answers.
Odds & Ends
Also, at this point, from what I can see,
Dave Yarnes is currently the President of “National Federation Of Christian Businesses Inc.” EIN 85-1949644
Dave is still listed as the current agent in charge of “Heritage Tower Community LLC,”
“COMMUNITY LIFE ALLIANCE, INC.” where Dave and Rick are both listed as officers.
Dave is also listed as the agent in charge of the “International Creative Apostolic Network, Inc.” in Texas.
So Dave is not only still getting a paycheck from Morningstar/Shunem after getting fired, but he also seems to still have a say in the Tower project.
But here is what I do know. Rick often gets paid around a quarter million a year, while his employees get paid little. Sometimes, he gets paid way more, and other times less. This is a corporation pretending to be a ministry. Any real ministry is being done by the average person and then later claimed by senior leadership.
In all these records from MS to SC and NC, Steve Thompson is STILL listed as the agent on many of the records. I wonder if Steve knows he is still the agent on record.
Please share this and report what you find because all of this needs to go off to an IRS investigator.
Update
P.S. I have just been told that there is a York County Police officer who would like to speak with me. Here is my email address Rfoster@Breadstonepublishing.com
Second Update Nov 25, 2024
Made the phone call, interesting conversation. Let’s see where this goes.
Where is that website screenshot with their EIN number coming from? Morningstar's website only has "all donations are tax-exempt" in that space, the EIN isn't listed. In fact, I can't seem to find their EIN anywhere which is...odd.
